AH&B College hairdressing courses
At AH&B College, we offer a hairdressing course that is unparalleled in quality. Hairdressers need to be aware of the trends of hairdressing such as cuts and colours that people are favouring or are “in” at present. What hairdressers can do for people, their clientele, is to provide confidence within oneself with a new haircut and style. We deliver exceptional training in hairdressing ensuring that we capture all the elements of the art.
Our hairdressing course educators have years of combined experience and share their unique skills with the students. AH&B College is proud of the students we have helped gain entry into the hairdressing field post the hairdressing course and we endeavour to have small class sizes so that students can get to know the educators and their peers. Small class sizes enables students to be able to ask questions of the educators and to engage in a supportive learning environment where no student is left behind. We aim to equip our students with all the necessary knowledge and skills in order for them to flourish within a hairdressing career and to enable them to have the confidence to go forth and establish themselves in the industry.
AH&B College offers a Certificate III in Hairdressing, a Certificate III in Barbering and a Diploma of Salon Management. The Certificate III in Hairdressing is rather hands-on and is a nationally-recognised hairdressing course across Australia. It’s exciting and offers an opportunity to gain practical skills and competency to be a hairdresser in the industry.
Students encounter fundamentals of hairdressing such as providing shampoo and basin services as well as salon services to clientele. They will identify and treat hair and scalp conditions and apply safe hygiene, health and work practices aligned with Occupational, Health and Safety (OH&S). Communication is an essential component of our hairdressing course and we equip students with the ability to communicate within a salon as part of a team. Recommending products and services is also an integral component of the course and AH&B College’s hairdressing course is designed for students to be able to learn and apply knowledge about products and services for them to articulate these to clientele. A fun aspect of the hairdressing course is also to provide head, neck and shoulder massages for relaxation; who knew studying hairdressing could incorporate this? Researching and utilising industry information is another unit within the hairdressing course and this is pertinent for graduates to be able to research and harness salient information for performing within the role of hairdresser.
Naturally, hair cutting and styling is part of the hairdressing course as well as applying chemical services to hair. With a Certificate III in Hairdressing, students will be able to work effectively within a salon and act as part of a team. AH&B College offers a hairdressing course that is renowned for quality educators and essential and elective units for students to be hands-on and enjoy the principles of hairdressing as much as the practical side.
